How to Change the Welcome Note message in Windows Xp

To change the welcome note of the Windows . First, download application named ResHack from the internet. After downloading the application Open Reshack.exe icon and execute it. 

·         Now click on file > Open > C drive > windows folder , and then open system 32 folder.

·         Search for logonui.exe file and open it.

·         Now expand string table , expand 1 folder

·         Select 1033 and on the right pane, you can see welcome text.

·         Click on it and edit the text filed like, if you want to give your desired name.

·         I Gave welcome note as “Welcome Boss”

·         After the completion Select Compile Script 

·         Now , it displays the dialog box “ resources have been modified, do you wish to save changes”

·         Click Yes and Give the file name something like mod.exe > Click save button.

·         Go to Run and Type Regedit

·         Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

·         Expand software > Microsoft > Windows NT > Current Version > Winlogon

·         After expanding the winlogon, on the right side pane check for UiHost

·         Now click that and change the string name logonui.exe to mod.exe

·         Click ok and restart the computer

·         Now you can see your desired welcome message
